och!!!! Deze foto heb ikzelf genomen. Ik dacht, tegelijkertijd met een foto van het koetshuis in de Paradijslaan.

Naast café de Voetbal woonde in de jaren zestig de familie Schuitema, hun zoon Gijs zat bij mij op de lagere school.

Volgens mij is links nog reclamebord van Caltex te zien van de garage van ´Pruik van de Meerendonk´
Naam: Jan Van Der Meulen
Deze hele blok werd afgebroken en vervangen door nieuwbouw. Geheel links van de blok huizen lag de garage van van den Meerendonk, die algemeen DE PRUIK genoemd werd. Singelshoek NV bebouwde het geheel, waarbij tevens een garage met benzinestation, met A van Kalmthout gedurende korte tijd als exploitant, werd opgevolgd door Citroën Garage Janus van der Meulen. De garage op de Gabriel Metzulaan en benzinestation zijn inmiddels afgebroken. Het terrein ligt nog braak na sanering van de bodem.
